The New Renown System and how it works

Pro Gamer Training 1.3 update - Renown

As we were getting some complaints about new tutors showing on page 1 in a category. We decided to build a new feature to make it fair for everyone. We call this 'Renown'. From now on every tutor will be set with a renown level. Starting at level 1 and progressing upwards. We beta tested this and works surprisingly well.

Pro Gamer Training will be having huge media coverage in the next few months. From popular podcasts, magazines and website reviews & articles.

How it works

It works on a similar practice that Google use, it puts the most popular tutors to the top of the page category. Increasing awareness to the customer and increasing the bookings.

Experience level bar

For any of you that have played 'World of Warcraft' you will be familiar with this. In between levels you will see the experience until the next level.  When the bar reaches the end, you will be on the next level.

Does everyone have a renown level?

From this announcement, every tutor on the site will have a renown level.

The higher level you are the better you are?

Extremely not, the renown level reflects how much attention you have brought to your application. Increasing the chances of getting a booking. However, customers will look at the level as a different matte. Chances are customers will go for a higher level tutor than a level 1.

New tutors applications

When new tutor adds an application, they will start at level 1 and be at the last page on the category they have selected. Unfair you may say? well its upto you to push your level. Its very easy to start moving to the top of categories.

How do you boost your levels? to get more bookings

Its extremely easy to level up, it works on the unique views you get per live application. You will see an increase of levels by:

• Linking your application profile on websites
  Push yourself on sites, showing the world your profile. This could be added as a text link from your blog, website, profile, forum, signature, etc. Be creative on how to push yourself. Copy / paste your URL from the top of your application.
  
• Signatures in forums
  On your applications, you can scroll down near the bottom. You will see a banner creation tool for you. Simply copy / paste the html or BBcode to your signature. People will click your banner in forums. The most bookings we get are from people using their signature in forums. Especially from popular forums, don't worry its not spamming as its your banner graphic.
• Google friendly text
  This is the natural way to get more levels fast. If you fill in your application form correctly with meta keywords / descriptions / text boxes. You will get people visiting your profile direct from Google. Example of search terms could be 'Street Fighter 4 Balrog trainer' and if you have done your keywords correct. You maybe top of Google.
• Do you have a popular website?
  The biggest boost is linking your profile on a extremely popular website
• Add more applications for other games or characters
  If you really want to push your levels, setup multiple applications for different games (that you are still good at) or the same game but for a different character. Example would be an application for SF4 Ken and another for SF4 Cammy.

You can totally be creative on how to boost your awareness level on your applications. The higher the level, the more visitors viewing and paying for your lessons.
